Prism Raises Over $3,000 for Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Twenty-two Prism Employees contributed $1,555.00 to the Prism matching fund tornado victim relief initiative. We all can be proud that when our neighbors were in need, we stood up and helped. The giving and caring spirit among our employees is admirably displayed in this outpouring of support. “I for one am proud to be associated with such a group of people,” said Prism CFO Eddie Corbitt.

The company is matching employee donations, bringing the total relief donation to $3,110.00, which is being send to the Red Cross this month.

Prism Accounting Tours Parkland Hospital Project

Fall Protection Training Session a Success at Parkland Project

Thanks to a training course earlier in April, Prism is proud to report that Fall Protection Training has been completed for more than 95% of the employees at the Parkland Hospital project, as well as for a few others on other projects. This brings our total to 104 at Prism who are now in compliance with OSHA regulations on Fall Protection Training.

Special thanks to Mr. Keith Walraven from ABATIX. Keith made this training possible at NO COST to Prism Electric through DT Cores.

Another Fall Protection training session is scheduled:

TIME: 4 P.M.
DATE: JUNE 6^TH
PLACE: GARLAND OFFICE

Please spread the word on other jobs and help us sending as many people as possible so we can meet our goal to have everyone trained (Service and Construction).

Eventually we will schedule training sessions at our offices in Austin, Houston and in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Parkland Project Hosts OSHA Outreach 10-Hour Safety Course

The management and safety team at Prism’s Parkland Hospital Project sponsored an on-site OSHA Outreach 10-Hour Safety class, completed earlier this month.

Eighteen Prism field employees from the Parkland project attended on their own time, after work. Fifteen completed the program and earned their OSHA Outreach 10 Hour card. With these additions, now over 70% of the Parkland project field force are OSHA Outreach card holders. Ten hold the OSHA 30-Hour card and another 37 hold the 10-Hour card.

A Spanish language 10-Hour course is planned for the near future. Special thanks to Cesar Jimenez – Safety Coordinator, for organizing the course and ensuring its success.
