Twenty years ago this month, Blake Combs and Luis Hernandez started Prism Electric, Inc. From a team of two, the firm has grown and earned a reputation for excellence. From our humble beginnings, we now are a firm that puts in place over $100 million each year in electrical construction and professional services.

Prism has been the electrical contractor of choice on some of the largest and most important projects built, including The New Parkland Hospital, which is the largest healthcare project built in the United States. Our scope includes over 2,000,000 square feet of lighting and controls. Another important project is the ongoing renovation at DFW International Airport Terminal A. DFW is the third busiest airport in the world.

Prism Electric now has roughly 500 employees and our reach includes the cities and surrounding areas of Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio, Houston and Ardmore, Oklahoma. Our client list has grown to include some of the largest general contractor firms in Texas and Oklahoma as well as industry leaders in healthcare, technology, education, manufacturing, hospitality, churches and more.

Our service division is the largest in Texas with over 100 fleet vehicles and seven bucket trucks. Our technicians are all licensed journeyman electricians and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A huge thank you is due to our employees for all their hard work making the company what it is today. The images below are from our anniversary picnic, held at the company headquarters in Garland.
