Overview
First National Center is an iconic historical showpiece, centrally located within the Oklahoma City skyline. Originally constructed in 1931, this building was selected for an extensive renovation and a complete historical restoration, to continue the legacy for future generations to enjoy. At the time of construction, this project was the largest ongoing historical renovation project in the United States.
Electrical Scope:
- Complete replacement of the electrical distribution system
- Dual 480 Volt, 3,000 Amp electrical services, connected to a new utility vault
- Replacement of the original bus riser with a new 2,000 Amp bus riser
- Addition of a 900 KW diesel generator and (3) transfer switches
- Installation of a new emergency power riser
- Electrical power to new, high efficiency elevator controllers
- Installation of a new distribution system to facilitate the replaced building mechanical and HVAC equipment
- Complete lighting controls system, integrated with the building automation system
- Installation of a networked metering system to serve the luxury apartments
- Raceways and pathways to facilitate all specialty systems, including a new fire alarm system
- Complete and extensive historical restoration of the original lighting fixtures
- Lightning protection system
- Updated street lighting
