Overview

Prism Electric is proud to deliver a full-scope electrical solution for the Phase 1 expansion and modernization of the Fort Worth Convention Center. Our scope of work includes:

Power Distribution

Installation of a new 4000A electrical service featuring a 640-foot Busway system. This phase also includes panelboard and transformer installations, as well as strategic upgrades to existing equipment to support enhanced power reliability and performance.

Lighting Systems

Deployment of high-end lighting fixtures throughout the new addition and existing back-of-house loading dock areas. The project integrates a state-of-the-art networked lighting control system and a lighting inverter for uninterrupted operation in the new expansion, ensuring both efficiency and visual impact in public-facing areas.

Data & Communications

Installation of new horizontal cabling infrastructure for the expansion, along with the construction of a new Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) room and modifications to the existing Main Distribution Frame (MDF) to support future-ready connectivity and seamless communication systems.

Life Safety Systems

Implementation of modern fire alarm and Area of Rescue systems to meet all safety code requirements and enhance occupant protection across the facility.
